Long Evening of the Consulates 2017

The City of Hamburg is famous for its internationalisation and opening to the world's different cultures. It organises once a year the Long Evening of the Consulates in which the general public has the opportunity to get to know the city's cultural diversity through cultural activities organised by the multiple consular representations and international organisations based in Hamburg.

The EU-LAC Foundation will actively participate for the fifth consecutive year in this event, hosting the representation of some of its members and showcasing the cultural diversity of the EU, Latin America and the Caribbean through several cultural activities and degustation of local products.

Long Evening of the Consulates Programme at the EU-LAC Foundation*

17:00 – 17.30 Art exhibition presentation; Embassy of El Salvador and the artist Miriam Blackman

17:30 - 17:45  Presentation of the EU-LAC Foundation

17.50 - 18:50 Country presentation and Rum tasting; Performance by Xolotlán, Nicaraguan traditional music group Embassy of Nicaragua;

18:55 -19:40 Country presentation video, textile exhibition; food (boquitas) and Rum Zacapa tasting; Embassy and Honorary Consulate of Guatemala 

19.40 – 20.00 Presentation of the EU-LAC Foundation

20.00- 20.45 Presentation of Central American coffee and tasting; Embassy of El Salvador and Nicaragua with the participation of the Honorary Consul of El Salvador.

20:45 - 21:45 Film exhibition: Four cardinal points of the director Javier Kafie, with the support of the El Salvador Embassy in Berlin

 

*During the event, information about El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Cuba and the EU-LAC Foundation will be available.
