International Conference: "Crisis of Governability?"

Wednesday October 03, 2018 to Thursday October 04, 2018
Buenos Aires

The International Conference "Crisis of Governability? The politics of migration governance in Latin America & Europe"  is organised by a consortium composed by the Migration Policy Centre of the European University Institute (EIU), the Regional Office for Latin America of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the University of Lanús in Argentina.

To understand the underlying factors that challenge or strengthen the governance of the migration is crucial in this "age of migration", in which migration has been a growing reality. The Conference seeks to explore the configuration and role of politics in the governance of migration in Europe and Latin America, focusing on macro-level trends, and on the outcomes of current policies.

The Conference is co- financed by the EU-LAC Foundation, which is financed through voluntary contributions of its Member Countries and in particular the European Union and Germany.

This event is part of the six events that has been selected after a competitive process, based on the Annual Call for co-financing events on topics relevant to the bioregional partnership between the European Union and Latin America and the Caribbean.
