In-betweeners in Turbulent Times: Migrants in the Epicentre of Crises in Europe and Latin America

Thursday November 14, 2019 to Friday November 15, 2019
University of Sevilla

The event aims to promote an open and intense debate on the wider implications of current migration trends for Latin America and Europe. Building upon existing knowledge, it situates the topic in both a global, regional and inter-regional perspective, bringing about novel and interdisciplinary perspectives on such trends and their implications as well as policy responses.

The event has the support of the University of Sevilla and FLACSO-Ecuador, and is organized by a group of researchers from both regions who are part of the IMISCOE Research Cluster on ‘Revisiting mobilities between Europe and Latin America: the transnational circulation of people, ideas and practices in the 21st century’.

In-betweeners in Turbulent Times: Migrants in the Epicentre of Crises in Europe and Latin America  is one of the events selected from 103 applications received in the framework of the "Annual Call for Co-financing on issues relevant to the bi-regional partnership between the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean" offered by the EU-LAC Foundation.
